Romeland Lodge 7080 – ‘For Valour’ – A History Of The Victoria Cross Medal

8 October 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

At the Fleet House Light Blues Club, we like to encourage our members to visit one another, but more particularly when something wonderful and unusual comes along.

Such an occassion has presented itself in the form of this invitation to attend an amazing talk on the history of the Victoria Cross Medal.

Delivered by W.Bro Mark Smith PProvGStwd (Essex), this captivating talk provides an in depth history of the Victoria Cross medal and myths from its inception in 1854 and allows Brethren to re-live the experiences of the utmost bravery and valour of its holders, allowing detailed examination of the medal, itself a unique experience.

A festive board and raffle will follow this talk with proceeds being donated to ‘Blind Veterans UK’ formerly known as St Dunstans.

Demand is expected to be high for this event and members are requested to contact the Secretary of Romeland Lodge W Bro. Ian Dowse at idowse2003@yahoo.co.uk to reserve a place for the talk and festive board.
