Bristol Lodge 4522 Installation & United Arts Rifles Lodge 3817

27 April 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Some members will be aware that Bristol Lodge 4522 was formed to support Freemasons from Bristol who worked in London. They operate using Bristol workings, which is something unique to see.

United Arts Rifles Lodge date back to 1917, and as a shooting lodge, do not wear gloves.

A few years ago, with membership declining in both Lodges, they agreed to form a twinning arrangement. In practice, at each meeting, one Lodge would open and close and the other lodge would open and do the work. They would alternate this practice at each meeting. The hope was that in time, their respective memberships would increase. Sadly, their memberships have both continued to decline, and it is now conceivable that both Lodges may have to hand in their warrants.

One of our FHLBC members, Richard Lane, has been asked to go into the Chair of Bristol Lodge at their next installation meeting, which may be their very last.

Members are therefore encouraged to get along and support Richard at the installation meeting. It is an opportunity to see Bristol Workings, as well as see how they operate with United Arts Rifles Lodge.

The meeting takes place at Great Queen Street in London

United Arts Rifles will be Tyled at 15.30

The Bristol Lodge will be starting at approx. 16.15

Please contact Richard to advise of any dietary requirements. Dining takes place nearby at Parkers.
